On January 17, Everett Animal Services received 155 animals as a result of a seizure of dogs from an alleged puppy mill operation. Because these animals continued to be housed in our facility, we have had to make adjustments to our operations. No members of the public are allowed in our animal housing areas at this time.

The City is completing its update on critical areas regulations. Public workshops were held in October and November addressing geologically hazardous sites and wetlands, fish, and wildlife conservation areas.
A public hearing is planned for December. At this time, staff are revising the ordinance and SEPA environmental review documents.
