Attempted Student Abduction In Everett
Everett, WA: Everett Police are looking for a male who attempted to abduct a student this morning.
On February 4, 2013, just after 8:05 a.m., a female student was walking to Everett High School near the 2300 block of Wetmore Ave when a male in a vehicle stopped next to her. When the male asked the student if she wanted a ride, she replied, “No thanks” and continued walking. A few seconds later, the student felt someone grab her arm and realized the same male was pulling her towards his vehicle. The girl struggled and pulled free. She ran to school and immediately reported the incident.
Officers searched the area but the male and his vehicle were gone.
The male is described as African American, in his 20’s, about 6’ tall and heavy set with a mustache and brown curly hair. During the incident he wore a plaid shirt.
The vehicle is described as an older, tan 4-door sedan.
The student was not physically injured.

-Always be alert to your surroundings when out and about
-Know the route your student takes
-Use the buddy system if at all possible
-Discourage the use of phones, headsets while walking
-Use routes that are well-lit
