Forest Park Animal Farm opens Saturday
Farm features baby animals, pony rides and Bunny Care program

EVERETT - Foster your family’s joy for barnyard animals at the Forest Park Animal Farm as it opens for the season on June 5 at Forest Park, 802 E. Mukilteo Blvd.

The Animal Farm is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily through Aug. 15. Family activities include meandering in the barnyard or joining an interactive program. You’re sure to be left with stories to tell and smiles all around.

Step inside the gates to visit chickens, water fowl, pigs, rabbits, goats, calves, ponies and more.
Young horse aficionados who are at least 2 years of age and no more than 70 pounds are welcome to enjoy free pony rides between 2 and 3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays June 5-26 and daily at the same time beginning June 28.

Further enhance your child’s summer barnyard experience by enrolling them in a farm program such as Little Farmers Day Camp, Farm Adventures Camp, Junior Horsemanship classes or an educational group tour.  The Bunny Care program allows families the chance to care for a bunny for three days and to learn the responsibilities of pet ownership.
Visits to the farm are free. Donations of any amount help defray the cost of animal care and food. Donations are greatly appreciated!

To register for programs, call 425-257-8300 or visit the Everett Parks and Recreation at www.everettwa.org/park.  To volunteer on the farm, call 425-257-8395.
