The Comprehensive Plan is the policy document which will quide the growth of the City until 2025.  As required by State law, RCW 36.70A.130(4)(a), the Comprehensive Plan must be updated every seven years.  The Comprehensive Plan guides city growth by defining the:

• Desired type, level and spatial distribution of population and job growth,
• Transportation, utilities and public facilities necessary to serve this population and employment,
• Methods of paying for this infrastructure,
• Housing requirements for the community, and
• Desired phyical character of city growth.
