The City of Everett in partnership with the 4th of July Foundation and multiple other community partners, is planning another memorable Fourth of July.
Last year we pioneered a fantastic, fun-filled family event at Legion Memorial Park. The 2009 line-up of events is just as stellar, with music ranging from country to rock and soul as well as a delicious selection of food vendors and free activities for children. Returning downtown this year are the community’s beloved traditions including the YMCA’s Yankee Doodle Dash and the annual parade.
This year the 4th of July Foundation will build upon the tremendous success of 2008’s unforgettable fireworks show, covered live and watched by thousands on KIRO 7 TV and up to 100,000 people in the Everett, Mukilteo, Marysville, and Tulalip communities. As a member of the Everett community, you understand the importance of making the Fourth of July a signature event. Everett’s Fourth of July festivities will set the standard this year to become the city’s greatest community celebration to date. This year’s theme, "Colors of Freedom: A Celebration of American Diversity" focuses on the inspiring range of cultures and traditions that residents of Everett represent.
