The Everett Police Department has an active Senior Volunteer Service Organization. Their volunteer service helps the community in a number of ways: Crime prevention programs, neighborhood volunteer activities, and clerical support.

Crime prevention and neighborhood volunteer activities: • Vacation Watch home checks • School crossing monitoring at local school zones • Inspect unassigned and spare police vehicles • Check and enforce handicapped parking • Attend community safety fairs • Assist other units within the Police Department upon request
Computer and clerical support activities: • Maintain the City of Everett's "Police Blotter" • File police related information and forms • Assist in recruiting personnel for the volunteer program • Schedule volunteer work activities • Update volunteer photo staff board
