Permit services department

Permit Services is responsible for administration and enforcement of all building-related codes, utility connections for sewer and water, and development activity files for building and public works permits. 

The Planning Department  determines if the use is permitted in the zone and that it complies with the City of Everett Zoning Code. A Pre-Application Meeting should be scheduled for a new project or a tenant improvement that requires land use approvals. 

Permit Services Public Counter hours of operation: 7:30 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. (M-F), except holidays.  To allow adequate time for processing, permit applications should be submitted prior to 11:30 a.m. or 3:30 p.m., one half hour before our office is closed.
