Records Q&A

Does the Everett Police Records Unit offer fingerprinting services?
Yes. Fingerprinting is offered Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. The cost is $15 per card. No appointment is necessary.

What are the requirements for concealed weapons permits?
You must be a resident of the City of Everett or live outside the state of WA to obtain a Concealed Pistol License (CPL) from the Everett Police Department. Applications may be picked up during normal business hours, however, are only processed when fingerprinting is available. The cost of an initial CPL is $55.25. The permit is valid for five years.
You may renew a CPL up to 90 days before its expiration or up to 90 days after the expiration (with a $10.00 late fee). If you are unable to renew your CPL within these time limits, you will need to start over with an initial CPL application. The cost of renewing a CPL is $32.00.
If you lose your CPL, you may obtain a replacement for $10.00. We can only issue a replacement for a CPL originally obtained through Everett Police Department.

How do I request a copy of a report?
With the exception of accident reports, which may be released to involved parties immediately, all reports must be requested through the Public Disclosure Unit.

Where can I obtain a state accident report?
You are only required to fill out a Washington State Accident Report if there was no police report taken and the damage from the accident exceeds $750.
Washington State Accident Reports are available from any police department. At Everett Police, they are available during normal business hours from the desk officer, or may be picked up outside the alley entrance after hours.
